What is the most you can pay for it?
Start from what you expect it to sell for. Enter your marketplace's fee and the profit or return you need, and get the highest price you can pay for the item and still hit it.
This works for any marketplace because you enter its fee. It is a planning estimate: the sale price you expect is your own judgement, not a guarantee.
Most you can pay for the item
Enter the expected sale price, the marketplace fee and at least one target to see the most you can pay. Check that every box holds a plain number like 24.99.
How it is worked out
The sale price, less the percentage fee, any fixed fee, shipping and packaging, is what is left to cover the item and your profit. With a profit target, the most you can pay is what is left minus that profit. With a return target, it is what is left divided by one plus the return. With both, the lower of the two applies. Sales tax, returns and advertising are not included.
